Government proposes removing labour market test from EU Blue Card rules
The Dutch government has submitted a bill to remove the proposed labour market test from the European Blue Card legislation.

New licensing rules for staffing and labour suppliers approved
The Dutch Senate has approved the Wet toelating terbeschikkingstelling van arbeidskrachten, or Wtta. From 1 January 2027, staffing agencies and other businesses that supply employees to clients will need authorisation from the new Dutch Labour Lending Market Authority, the Nederlandse Autoriteit Uitleenmarkt.

The Netherlands resumes enforcement against false self-employment
As of 1 January 2025, the Dutch Tax Administration has resumed full enforcement of the rules concerning false self-employment, or schijnzelfstandigheid.
