To be eligible for employment in the Netherlands as a highly skilled migrant, international talent must meet specific criteria:

  • Market-conformed salary: Employees aged 30 years or older must earn a minimum gross monthly salary of €5,331, while those under 30 must earn a minimum of €3,909. In certain situations, a reduced salary criterion of €2,801 applies (all salary requirements actual for 2024).
  • Recognized sponsor: The employer must be recognized as a sponsor by the Dutch Immigration and Naturalisation Service (IND). Recognized sponsors can swiftly apply for residence permits for employees and their family members. NLworks steps in as the Employer of Record, placing them on our payroll and taking care of all administrative, fiscal, and legal tasks associated with cross-border employment.

Additionally, if applicable, we handle the application for the 30% ruling, a substantial tax benefit that advantages both the employee and the employer.
